Tim O’Shea




Coach O’Shea is the Head Lacrosse Coach at NCAA Division III Wabash College.  

Prior to Wabash, he spent four seasons as the Boys Varsity Head Coach at Bishop Chatard High School.  He was named IHSLA and US Lacrosse Indiana Coach of the Year following the 2015 season.

He was the Assistant Coach/Offensive Coordinator at Cayuga Community College in Auburn, NY for the 2013-2014 seasons.

In 2012 & 2013 O’Shea was the National Program Director for Xcelerate Lacrosse, running club travel teams across the country.

He was the Varsity Head Coach/Program Director at Zionsville High School from 2008-2011. At Zionsville, he led his team to 2 consecutive IHSLA Final Four appearances in 2009 & 2010, coached 14 IHSLA All-State players as well as one Academic All-American.

In 2006, O’Shea became the Assistant Coach at Butler University, and also served as Offensive Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator and Director of Alumni Relations. He also worked specifically with the attack, extra man offense & face-off units.

His coaching career began in 2003 as the Varsity Head Coach/Program Director at Pike High School. O’Shea inherited a team that went winless in 2002, and led them to 12 wins the following season. At Pike, he coached 6 IHSLA All-State players and took his team to the IHSLA consolation championship game in 2006.

O’Shea was the Assistant Coach/Offensive Coordinator of the Adirondack Region team at the 2013 Empire State Cup held at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY.  He was also selected as the Head Coach of the Red Team in the 2014 NJCAA Region III Paul Rose All-Star Game in Cortland, NY.

Since 1998, O’Shea has worked as a camp counselor/director at numerous camps across the country.  He has also attended various lacrosse coaching conventions/clinics, is US Lacrosse Level 1 & 2 certified and a Positive Coaching Alliance Double Goal Coach.

O’Shea played NCAA Division I lacrosse at Butler University and earned 2 Varsity letters with the Bulldogs in 2001& 2002, starting at attack as a senior. Before Butler, O’Shea attended SUNY Canton (NJCAA). He was named to the All Region III 1st Team & Region III All Tournament in the 1998 & 2000 seasons. O’Shea was named a team captain in 2000 and awarded the Team MVP award following that season.

In high school, O’Shea was a 4- year starter at Massena Central High School (NY) from 1994-1997. He earned Section X 1st Team All-Northern honors and was a Watertown Daily Times All-North 1st Team selection in 1996 & 1997. In both of those seasons he was also his team’s leading scorer, team captain and team MVP. He added the Daryl Paige Memorial Coaches Award in 1997.

He capped off his high school athletic career by being named the Massena Central High School Red Raider Athlete of the Year in 1997 and went on to become the 1st player from his high school to play NCAA Division I Lacrosse.
